Introduction

GateHills Technology is committed to safeguarding the privacy of our domain registrants. We offer Privacy and Proxy Registration Services to protect personal information from public exposure in the WHOIS database, while ensuring compliance with ICANN policies.

1. Definitions

1.1 Privacy Service: A service where the registrant’s contact information is replaced with alternative contact details, but the registrant remains the Registered Name Holder.

1.2 Proxy Service: A service where a third party is listed as the Registered Name Holder, and the third party has a separate agreement with the actual user of the domain name.

2. Service Description

2.1 Our Privacy and Proxy Services replace the registrant’s personal contact information with that of GateHills Technology or its affiliates in the public WHOIS database. This helps protect registrant privacy and reduce unsolicited communications.

3. Registrant Responsibilities

3.1 Even when using our Privacy or Proxy Services, registrants:

• Remain the ultimate beneficial owner of the domain name.
• Are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and ICANN policies.
• Must provide accurate and up-to-date contact information to GateHills Technology.

4. Communication Handling

4.1 Relay: We will forward communications received at the proxy email address to the registrant’s provided contact email, subject to spam and abuse filtering.

4.2 Reveal: Under certain circumstances, such as legal requests or ICANN policy requirements, we may disclose the registrant’s contact information to third parties.

5. Abuse Reporting

6. Data Retention and Security

7.1 We reserve the right to terminate Privacy or Proxy Services in cases of:

• Provision of false or misleading information.
• Use of the domain name for illegal activities.
• Violation of ICANN policies or our terms of service.

8.1 We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
